It was broken down into two sections, each delivered by Tesco and the Army.

Tesco Recruitment Manager Lynn Livingstone delivered the theory element of the programme, which is an important element of management training at Tesco.

The theory focused on identifying the key issues for leadership qualities and taught useful techniques for building the confidence and self-esteem of staff in the workplace.

When visiting the Army, the students encountered a different environment where leadership qualities could be applied. Student Amy Patterson from Belfast said, “I learnt how to apply the theory we learnt at Tesco into another situation at the Army which will prepare us for our careers where we will have to learn to adapt.”
