Janice has been working towards the opportunity for over two years since winning the De Vere Award for a work of Distinction at the Royal Hibernian Academy in Dublin.

Speaking about the launch, Janice commented: “I’m blown away by it. This is an amazing opportunity. An Irish art collector bought a piece of my work and it has led to this. For somebody like this to love my work is amazing.”

Janice’s family and friends made their way to Dublin for the official launch, with 50 loved ones travelling by coach for the opening.

“It’s nice to share this with them,” said Janice. “They have watched me progress and work hard through the years.

“There are 14 large pieces on display with all of them having significant references to Northern Ireland.

“A number of them relate to our beautiful countryside and old buildings and show how these are changing.

“I have combined the mediums of oil, ceramic and stained glass to create unique installations and paintings with breathtaking results.”

The exhibition is exclusive and by invitation only, not open to the general public.

However some of the work can be viewed on YouTube as Janice has produced a number of videos about her ideas behind the work.
