Detectives are investigating a suspicious fire at a quarry in Magherafelt which caused extensive damage.
The blaze inside a building at Hogg’s Quarry on Tobermore Road was reported to police at about 9.45pm on Friday 9th October.
We are particularly keen to speak to anyone who travelled along the Tobermore Road between 7pm and 9.45pm on Friday night
Detective Sergeant David Hallawell is appealing for witnesses: “This fire caused extensive damage to the building and completely destroyed some expensive plant machinery.
“We would like to hear from witnesses or anyone with information about this crime.
“We are particularly keen to speak to anyone who travelled along the Tobermore Road between 7pm and 9.45pm on Friday night and who may have noticed anything that could assist the investigation.”
