Magherafelt house damaged for a second time in racially motivated attack


A house has been targeted for a second time in the Leckagh estate, Magherafelt, in an apparent racist attack.

A front living room window was smashed with a brick in the latest attack in the early hours of Monday (March 16).

Appealing for information Sergeant Sam Young said: “This address had the same window smashed in identical circumstances a week previously. The residents and police perceive these incidents to be racially motivated.”

Police are keen to seek witnesses and gather any information as to who carried out the attacks. Information can be given on the 101 non-emergency number, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
