TOP club members and players will be taking on another role at O’Donovan Rosa GAC Magherafelt as they will be dropping their boots and sticks and, instead, will be taking hold of a microphone to become a star for the night on Friday, November 29, at the Elk in Toomebridge.
The “Stars in your Eyes” event is the first time the club has hosted such an event and the senior and junior players, committee members and staff will all be dressing up to impress and even the clubs chairperson will be giving us a show, So it’s bound to be a “mighty” night.
Why not come to support your favourite and enjoy a great night’s craic? Local gent the “one and only” Vincy Donnelly will be host for the night and for one night only the nine acts will be able to say “Tonight Vincy I’m going to be “and Vincy will also ensure the night doesn’t
become a “Hames”!
The stars will no doubt be giving it “Holly” so make sure you come along to vote for your favourite act. O’Donovan Rossa’s Chairperson Siobhan Toner who is taking part told us “We are all both delighted yet very nervous about our upcoming Stars In Their Eyes event, everyone has
been rehearsing so hard over the past 2 months before the big night on 29ththere is lots of competition and banter and we can guarantee that we might not be the next Queen or Tina Turner but we will certainly give you a great night of entertainment and lots of laughs too, make sure you book your tickets before they sell out”
O’ Donovan Rossa GAC has a total of 24 teams at the club and the club has been established since April 1934, it has won the Derry Senior Football championship on 6 occasions.
The proceeds for the night will help support the teams and continue to help run all 24 teams, therefore the funds will be vital to keep the club successful throughout the year, the night has also been supported by sponsors J&K coaches who have donated towards the
Tickets only £10 per person and are available at Kerr’s, Sportsworld, MFF Filling station and committee members. Tickets also available to buy at the door on the night. Doors open at 7pm and show starts at 8pm sharp.
