STEWARTSTOWN man Robin Abbott has presented a fully restored mangle to Simpson’s of Cookstown, the original owner of the artefact.
The Curglasson historian bought it from a Dungannon man and spent around fifty hours restoring the mangle, sanding it down and painting it red, green and black.
The original rollers and washboards are on the mangle.
Simpson’s whose name graces the item, is throught to be the original owner of the magle,
Robin has the mangle on loan to the Cookstown company for a few months.
