Man and woman in 60s had to be cut from car after crash near Claudy

A man and woman had to be cut from their car by fire crews following a single-car collision on the Foreglen Road in Claudy on Saturday night.

The pair, both said to be in their 60s, were released from the car using hydraulic cutting equipment after fire fighters from both Dungiven and Crescent Link stations arrived at the scene.

The incident was logged with NIFRS at 8.45pm on November 14, and both casualties were taken to hospital by ambulance.
