A 31 year old man has been arrested in Cookstown on suspicion of several drug offences.
A PSNI spokesperson said officers attended a house in the Coolnafranky Park area of the town on Wednesaday night at a round 9.30pm.
“An amount of suspected herbal cannabis was seized. Further searches were carried out in the house and the man was arrested on suspicion of possession of a class A controlled drug, possession of a class B controlled drug and possession of a class B controlled drug with intent to supply,” said the spokesperson.
“He has since been released on police bail pending further enquiries.”
Sergeant Amanda McIvor said: “This incident is an example of the PSNI’s commitment to tackling the sale and supply of drugs in Northern Ireland. Information from communities is vital to assist this, therefore I would encourage anyone with any suspicions to contact their local police station on the non emergency number 101 or the independent charity Crimestoppers, where you can speak anonymously, on 0800 555 111.”
