Man assaulted in Edward St

The man was injured during an attack in the early hours of Saturday morning in Edward St.

According to police he was set upon by two men who were strangers to him.

Police have appealed for witnesses to the incident, which happened at around 1.30am, to come forward.

They are keen to speak to two women who helped the victim while he was being attacked.

“We are seeking these two females to come forward and assist police with information to identify the two offenders,” said a PSNI spokesperson.
