Man charged with kidnapping and attempted murder
A 26-year-old man has been charged with kidnapping and attempted murder, linked to a number of arrests in the Dungannon and Coalisland areas.
Two men, both aged 32, were shot in the legs in separate gun attacks in Newry in the early hours of Thursday.
The man also faces a charge of having a firearm. He was due to appear in court in Newry on Monday.
Police said they arrested six people in connection with the shootings.
One man has been charged and the other five, aged between 20 and 31, have been released on bail pending further police inquiries.
