Man drove failed to remain at accident

After driving into the rear of another vehicle a Lurgan man failed to stay at the scene, Craigavon Magistrates Court heard last Friday.

Steven Cranston (32), Glenshane Avenue, was fined £100 and banned from driving for two years on charges of driving without due care and attention on December 14, failing to report an accident and failing to remain at the scene.

The court heard that he drove into the back of a car in Market Street, Lurgan, and left the scene.

A solicitor for Cranston said he was fully insured and the damage was met by his insurance company.
