Man taken to hospital after assault in Cookstown pub


Police in Cookstown have made an appeal for witnesses to an assault which left one man in hospital.

The incident on Chapel Street happened almost three months ago.

Inspector Daniel Walsh said: “On 26th April at around 11.30pm, police received a report of an altercation at licensed premises on Chapel Street. One man was assaulted and was conveyed to hospital for treatment.

“A 38-year-old man and a 34-year-old man were arrested and later released on bail pending further enquiries.”
