Men arrested over £400,000 cannabis seizure in Knockloughrim near Magherafelt

The drugs were discovered at Carricknakielt Lane, Knockloughrim, on Tuesday.

Two men, one aged in his 30s and another in his 50s, have been taken to Antrim police station for interview.

DI Andy Dunlop said: “We would again ask members of the public to be vigilant and report any suspicious activity or behaviour to police on 101 or anonymously through to the Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111.

“Criminal enterprises like this do not simply appear overnight.

“The public should report their suspicions to the police. This enables us to do our job of identifying those who make substantial profits from illegal activity and prevent harmful drugs from reaching our streets.”
