Minister announces start of £118,000 work at Millburn

Regional Development Minister Danny Kennedy last week announced the start of the second stage of a £294,000 resurfacing scheme at Milburn Road in Coleraine.

The work is due to begin next Monday, November 19 between the railway bridge at Millburn Road and the Portstewart Road.

The Minister said: “This scheme will improve the quality of the running surface and provide a durable low maintenance surface for many years to come.

“To help minimise any inconvenience to the travelling public and local businesses the majority of this work is programmed to be completed after 6.00pm.”

The off-peak works will commence on Monday 19 November and continue until Thursday 22 November with the scheme expected to be completed by Sunday 25 November.

Roads Service has carefully programmed the works operations and traffic management arrangements in order to minimise any inconvenience to the public, however motorists should be aware that some delays may be expected and that additional time should be allowed when planning any journeys.
