New bus stops planned for Meeting House Lane
RESIDENTS and local politicians have welcomed the news that during this financial year the Road Service has agreed to provide two hard standing areas at the bus stops in Meeting House Lane.
Edwin Poots MLA, who welcomed the news, said: “During the recent elections, we received several complaints concerning the lack of hard standing at the bus stops in Meeting House Lane and the difficulties that this was causing for local residents.
“We welcome the news from the Road Service that in this financial year, the grass verges at both bus stops will now have hard standing provided.”
Alderman Paul Porter added: “This will make a big difference to the many residents that use this service, especially senior citizens who depend heavily on the vital bus services in the area.”
