The new year heralds a new beginning for the local Housing Executive as they have appointed a new area manager to cover the whole Mid-Ulster Council area.
The Housing Executive has aligned its offices to mirror the new Mid-Ulster ‘super council’ and have created a ‘Mid-Ulster’ area comprising offices in Cookstown, Dungannon and Magherafelt.
Heading up this new area is Michael Dallat.
Michael has been with the Housing Executive for 37 years and will be responsible for the local offices in Cookstown, Dungannon and Magherafelt.
He will be primarily based in the Magherafelt office where he had previously worked.
Michael began his career with the Housing Executive as a management trainee and over the years has held a variety of positions including District Manager for a number of areas with five years served in Magherafelt and the manager for Housing Benefit in the West which included Derry, Strabane, Limavady and Magherafelt.
Most recently Michael was Area Manager for the Housing Executive’s West area which includes the organisation’s offices in Derry/Londonderry and Strabane.
Speaking about his new role Michael said: “I am delighted with the creation of the ‘Mid-Ulster’ Area which aligns with the new Super-Council.
“In returning to the area I look forward to renewing relationships with people from the area
“I worked with in the past. I want to ensure the continued delivery of a comprehensive housing service to the residents of the Housing Executive’s Mid-Ulster area.”
