Two reminiscence sessions are being held at the Kilcronaghan Centre – between Draperstown and Tobermore and Desertmartin – on Tuesday May, 12 and Tuesday May, 19 .
These totally informal gatherings will be open to everyone and, judging from previous sessions, they will be interesting, amusing and good craic.
So, come along and listen, or share your memories and stories.
Times were hard and people were poor
The old folks leaned over the wee half door
With an old rag ball the boys did play
To help them pass the time away
Or maybe the ladies can relate to this verse -
We went to school to learn to write
And do our homework every night
We learned to knit and turn a heel
Sew a hem and make a seam
Refreshments will be served and the scheduled times are 10.00am to noon. Further details from the centre 796 27826
