I reported an overfilled dog bin at the Dolphin Leisure Centre to Mid Sussex District Council - 4th August, a very hot day and it looked like the piles of bags had been there at least a week.

Firstly, I did not expect the report to be lost and then for another officer to ask where the bin was located which I had reported and so as of the 14th August (as I write this), the bin and surrounding pile of dog mess has not been cleared and there other places too.

It is pretty obvious Mid Sussex Council do not have either a proper collection service or a contingency plan to clear the bins provided and a proactive scrutiny is needed into why the service is inadequate and also fails to responds to the issue once reported. The fact that in over two weeks the council has not checked the bins is condemnation enough, someone really needs to be relieved of responsibility and a proper system employed as implied by the job advertisement that stated that the council were proactive!. No excuses please.
