Grafitti removed

SIR, In regards to an article printed in your paper last week concerning a Ballycastle Irish Bilingual Sign which had sectarian graffiti daubed on it.

The graffiti has been on this sign for several months and it's a shame and embarrassment that Moyle District Council are only learning of the problem now, considering a number of the councillors live in the immediate Ballycastle area.

Why the issue hadn't been addressed sooner astonishes me. Just to inform Moyle District Council, the graffiti has now been removed by a fellow community activist and myself. It only took 10 minutes work, less time than the councillors spent debating it.

Yours etc. 'Less talk, more action'
