The event - which was free to participants - was organised by Health Development Officer Eimear Teague. “Around 70 people participated in some form of testing which included blood pressure, cholesterol testing, blood glucose testing, skin screening and body composition analysis,” she said.
Also available on the night was free introductions to Indian Head Massage, Reflexology, and full body massage. Information sessions on Stress Management, Drug/Alcohol Misuse, consultations with NI Chest, Heart and Stroke Association and Patient and Client council were also available.

“Out of those who participated in the screening, 17 were referred to their GP for concerns about their blood results,” said Eimear.
“This event has once again proved to be extremely successful in targeting those who are most at need with health testing.
“As we can see from the results, sometimes just because we do not feel ill, it does not mean there isn’t an underlying problem,” she said.
