SVP Street Collection up 10 per cent
SIR, The annual Street collection for the Society of St Vincent de Paul took place in Ballymena on Saturday, December 22.
The amount raised was £3554, an excellent result, up 10 per cent on last year.
The Society is grateful for appreciative comments made by members of the public on its work. Thanks are due to all who made donations, to the 45 volunteer collectors, and to the managements of the Tower Centre, Fairhill Centre, and Marks and Spencer, all of whom were most helpful and supportive.
