Since the release of his critically acclaimed debut album ‘When we were Brave’ in 2010, Derry man Paddy Nash and his Happy Enchiladas have been lighting up venues across Ireland and England.
His unique blend of Folk-Rock-Country-Pop-Punk-Blues continues to build an audience who revel in rich lyrics and big melodies.
Paddy has also enjoyed huge solo success playing the LeftField stage at Glastonbury in 2011 and supporting Billy Bragg on his Irish Tour that same year.
Their last album ‘Times of Transition’ released June 2012 received worldwide airplay and excellent reviews with R2 Rock’n’Reel Magazine describing it as ‘The Saw Doctors jamming with The Undertones at a street party held by Squeeze’ and hailing Paddy as ‘an exceptional songwriter’.
2012 saw the band go from strength to strength. They shared the stage with Derry’s finest, including the Undertones, playing to a ten thousand strong crowd at the Clipper Homecoming celebrations. Firm favourites at festivals they have headlined stages at both Glasgowbury and Stendhal among others.
In late 2014 Nash and band got a great reception while supporting Paul Heaton & Jacqui Abbot on the Northern leg of their Irish tour.
With this, their third album ‘Laughter & Love’ released on the 15th May 2015, Paddy and his Happy Enchiladas intend to maintain their cult status as the band who’ll get you thinking and dancing all at the same time when they play The Loft on Saturday, June 6.
