Palace date for Andrew
A LISBURN Councillor recently attended a garden party at Buckingham Palace. Andrew Ewing said he felt “honoured” to have attended the event and described it as “a memorable experience.”
The garden party, which was held on July 12 and was hosted by the Queen and Prince Philip, was attended by people from across the United Kingdom including politicians and military service personnel. Mr Ewing, who was with his wife Michelle, said: “It was a very enjoyable day. It was very interesting to see the magnificent splendour of Buckingham Palace and the gardens along with the pageantry of the military bands and guards. Her Majesty is a remarkable person who I have the highest admiration for and this was certainly a day I will remember and cherish.”
