Deputy Chair of Mid Ulster District Council, Councillor Meta Graham, has expressed her sadness at the news: “I am greatly saddened by the death of the Duke of Edinburgh, a man who lived a life of public service for more than seven decades, the vast majority of those years by the side of his wife, Her Majesty The Queen.

“And while there will be a very public sense of loss as the country mourns Prince Philip, I think about the very personal and deeply felt grief which his family will now experience and offer my heartfelt condolences”.

The book can be signed at the council's website.
