Results overall reflect a 95% success rate, the highest ever, with 74% of the results gained at the higher pass band of Merit and Distinction. Outstanding successes this year include Heidi Wilson’s 90% Distinction in her advanced certificate recital, a performance of the highest quality. Declan Murray who, at the age of 12, scored a perfect 100% in Grade 3 Theory and played a wonderful 94% Distinction in his Grade 6 Solo Piano – simply remarkable. Roise Devlin played her Grade 3 Violin exam to 96% and continued with Piano Grade 1 – a similar 96%. A great pair of Distinctions.

Billy Allen, quite new to the exam scene, scored a super double Distinction in Initial and Grade 1 Piano playing. Lauren McStocker, a late beginner to the music scene, gained Distinctions in both Grade 3 Piano and Grade 3 Theory of Music.

Whilst music tuition at the school is a part-time subject, the end product is “result driven”.

The teachers provide a ‘happy’ teaching atmosphere to ultimately achieve success at the higher levels which gain valuable UCAS points. Wesleyan Music is affiliated to Trinity, London, this being an internationally recognised music college with students benefitting from this status.

Wesleyan Music is pleased to welcome the Rev. June Parke B.Th. and June’s husband Ken to its annual photo call.
