Police appeal after attempted robbery

Larne police are appealing for information after an attempted robbery in the town centre on Tuesday, May 14.

At around 9.55am at a shop on Point Street, a man demanded money from a member of staff while brandishing a knife. The male, who police said was “possibly a teenager”, is described as being around five feet five inches in height and dressed in a grey jogging bottoms with red stripes down each leg.

Police believe the culprit fled the scene without any cash and enquiries are continuing.
