Police appeal after car is burned out in Magherafelt


Police in Magherafelt have appealed for information after a car was deliberately set on fire at Leckagh Drive, in the town in the early hours of Monday morning.

The Peugeot 306 Cabriolet was completely destroyed in the blaze which occurred shortly after midnight on Sunday.

Investigating Officer, Sergeant Sam Young said that the fire was being treated as arson.

“We are keen to hear form anyone who saw suspicious activity close to the car, in particular anyone who was seen interfering with the soft-top roof,” he said.
