Police appeal after child approached in Coalisland


The PSNI have appealed for information on a man who approached a child in Coalisland last month.

A police spokesperson said the man was in a red five-door car, when he approached the child in the Kings Row area of Coalisland on March 13.

The incident happened at around 5pm.

The driver is described as a black male, with a large nose and spoke with a foreign accent,” said police.

“He is described as wearing a red ‘Monkey’ type hat with Liverpool written on it.

It is thought the vehicle may have been a Vauxhall Vectra.

“If anyone has any information in relation to the person or the vehicle they should contact Police quoting reference no 1016 dated 13/3/14 or via Crimestoppers should they wish to remain anonymous,” the PSNI spokesperson added.
