The operation was carried out at various at locations in the Cookstown area. Police made two arrests in respect of drugs offences during the evening and seized a quantity of tablets.
Inspector Joanne Gibson said, “Cookstown is a town with a vibrant and lively night time economy and we want to do all we can to ensure that the young people who live and come into this town are kept safe.
“Policing the town doesn’t happen in isolation. We rely on the cooperation of licensees. We will continue to provide a visible presence throughout the town, particularly during night time economy hours, and will be there to provide reassurance to anyone who wants to enjoy a safe and responsible night out.”
