The 69-year-old’s body was found by the side of her house in the town’s Knockancor Drive around lunchtime on Wednesday.
Margo was well-known in the area having owned the popular Madame Margo hair salon – continuing to work on a part-time basis following retirement earlier this year.
Last week, the traders of the seaside town paid tribute to Mrs Evans through a facebook message saying: “Today we lost a trader, colleague, friend. Thoughts are with family and friends.” Outside the popular Portstewart salon a note from the staff describes the death as ‘tragic’ and outlines the funeral arrangements. Police have appealed to anyone with any information, to contact them.
