Detectives are appealing for information following a shooting incident in the Drumard Road area of Draperstown.

It was reported that at around 10pm a shot was fired through the window of a house in the area. A family who were in the house at the time were not injured.

Police are working to establish a motive for the incident and are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident or anyone who was in the Drumard Road area on Saturday night and noticed anything out of the ordinary to contact them. They are keen to hear from any Landowners in the area to rule out any legitimate shooting on their lands.

Police can be contacted at CID in Magherafelt Police Station on the non-emergency number 101. Or, if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details, they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.
