Public warned to use water wisely

NORTHERN Ireland Water is urging the Mid-Ulster public to be aware of water usage following the recent dry, hot spell.

NI Water supply about 560m litres of water each day, two thirds of usage is in the bathroom, with 423m litres of water flushed down toilets each year.

Although NI’s Water resources are stable the company is aksing people to reduce wastage.

This can be done by fixing dripping taps and having showers instead of baths.
