Roads warning as NI temperatures expected to plumet

The Department for Infrastructure has urged road users to exercise caution with icy conditions predicted overnight in Northern Ireland.

The DFI issued the following statement this evening: “Road temperatures are forecast to fall close to or below zero early tomorrow morning.

“Salting of those roads on the scheduled salting network considered to be at risk is planned.

“Road users are advised to exercise caution when travelling especially on untreated roads.”
