Seeking former Mid-Ulster man Patrick J McKenna

A LONDON based woman is trying to locate a man by the name of Patrick J McKenna who used to live in the Mid-Ulster area.

Mr McKenna was in his 20s or 30s when he joined the Post Office in Cookstown in 1949. His first job is thought to be in the sorting office in Magherafelt.

The London woman, Mrs Bruce, is making the appeal on behalf of a friend and she is hoping that MAIL readers will be able to assist her with tracing Mr McKenna or his relatives.

Mr McKenna came to London to work in the Post Office in the 1950s and it’s believed he stayed for a short time in the capital.

“An old friend of Mr McKenna’s is keen to get in touch with him, or if he has passed away, he would like to pay his respects to the family,” said Mrs Bruce.

“We know two things about him - he was a post office employee and he came to London in the 1950s.”

If Mr McKenna or any of his relatives recognise this description, they are asked to contact Mrs Bruce at 6 Regent Square, London, WC1H 8HZ, tel 07970 046140, or email
