Sentencing deferred for Magherafelt ‘wedding planner’

SENTENCING in the case of a young Magherafelt man facing a series of dishonesty charges, was adjourned for a year at the local Magistrates Court.

Callum Townsend (21) of Parkmore Road, admitted a total of 19 charges of fraud by false representation on dates in March and April this year.

The court had heard previously from a police officer, who claimed the defendant had been acting as a wedding planner and had falsely obtained around £2,000.

District Judge Des Perry adjourned sentencing until November 26 2014.
