Shoplifter found in Cookstown supermarket with foil bag full of alcohol

A repeat shoplifting offender has been jailed for three months after she was found in a supermarket in Cookstown with a foil bag full of alcohol.

Dapke Modesta, 27, from Markethill Road, Portadown, appeared by videolink from Maghaberry Prison at Dungannon’s Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday.

The defendant admitted that on May 2, she placed several bottles of alcohol into a foil bag at Tesco’s, Cookstown, which she subsequently abandoned in a shopping aisle.
