IN the wake of an incredible few months for local songstress Silhouette, Glasgowbury are delighted to announce her as the headline act for their May G Session this weekend.
An unforgettable few months have seen Silhouette’s stock shoot through the roof as she shared the stage with Gary Lightbody & Co. on a Snow Patrol tour throughout Europe as well as having her track used in a worldwide advertising campaign promoting Northern Ireland.
A local talent, lead singer and songwriter of the group Shauna is a former member of Glasgowbury’s award winning Rural Key Music Project where she learned the tools of the trade.
In the past few weeks she has also been announced as one of the acts who will play at this year’s Glasgowbury Music Festival.
It’s an all-female affair for this month’s G Session with the bill being completed by Maghera singer-songwriter Allie Bradley and hotly tipped Derry songwriter Soak.
Fresh off the back on an Irish tour and gearing up for her new EP release, Allie Bradley is renowned for her original, folk-pop music style and has been turning heads across the country with her talents.
The line-up is completed by Bridie Monds-Watson, a Derry based songwriter who goes by the name of Soak. A hotly-tipped prospect, her style has already been compared to that of Lisa Hannigan, matching her voice in pureness.
The gig kicks off at the Cellar Bar in Draperstown this Saturday from 9pm and admission is just £5
