Thumbs up for Elim development

PLANNERS have given the green light to a proposed replacement church building and residential development on Northland Road.

The application includes 59 dwellings - 20 townhouses and 39 apartments - with car parking and provision of a new roundabout at the North Road junction with Prince Andrew Way, along with a replacement building and parking at Elim Pentecostal Church.

At a meeting of Carrick Borough Council, Alderman David Hilditch welcomed the Planning Service decision and said the development had been a long time coming.

“This should go some way to improving the infrastructure in that area of the town and enhancing what we already there,” he added.
