Five cows killed in crash involving lorry and car

A lorry and a car collided with five cows which were on the carriageway of the A6 at its junction with the Hillhead Road earlier today.

The drivers of the vehicles did not require medical treatment, however the five cows died as a result of the collision shortly after 4am.

The road re-opened at around 6.40am.
