Tributes paid after sudden death of Dungannon man on football trip with his son

Stephen Moffett is understood to have passed away suddenly at the weekend, while on the trip with Dungannon United youth.

Hundreds of warm tributes have been paid on social media to Mr Moffett, who was a well-known fan of Dungannon Swfits.

“It is with deep sadness we would like to express our sincere condolences to the family of Swifts fan Stephen Moffett,” a statement on the Dungannon Swifts Facebook page read.

“Stephen passed away suddenly last night [Saturday] while in Manchester with his son on a Dungannon United Youth trip.

“Thoughts and prayers are extended to all the family and friends of Stephen from Chairman Keith Boyd, Committee, players and supporters of DSFC.”
