Truck driver killed in Westmeath crash to be buried in Bellaghy

The funeral of the south Derry truck driver killed in Co Westmeath on Thursday is due to take place in Bellaghy today.

Damien Moore (46) from Chapel View, Bellaghy, died at the scene of the single-vehicle accident after his lorry left the N52 between Mullingar and Delvin in the townland of Williamstown.

Garda said they have completed a technical exam at the scene of the crash.

Requiem Mass for Mr Moore will take place in St Mary’s Parish Church in Bellaghy at 1pm on Sunday and interment will follow in adjoining churchyard.

He is survived by Olivia, Phelim, Cliona, and Dara.
