Trust grounds not ‘playgrounds’

CHILDREN are being warned not to be using Health and Social Care Trust facilities as playgrounds.

The warning came from a Trust spokesperson who expressed concerns about the use of their grounds for ‘recreational activities’.

She said: “The Southern Health and Social Care Trust provide services from many different facilities.

“It has come to the attention of the Trust that children and young people are accessing the grounds of these facilities and, in particular Lurgan Hospital, both during the day and at night. The Trust would draw attention to the fact these are busy facilities with high volumes of traffic. To ensure the safety of these children and young people, and the well-being of all our patients, clients and staff, the Trust would ask parents and carers to ensure their children are not using Trust facilities and grounds for recreational activities.“
