Mid Ulster councillor Mark Glasgow has vowed to help pensioners in Tullyhogue achieve their dreams of a bus shelter in the village.
The UUP representative told the Mail that unusually he received the anonymous request for help from in a card around Christmas.
It read: “Mark you are our man. We are the old age pensioners of Tullyhogue. We need a bus shelter really badly. We have to stand out in the cold. Please help us.”
Now, he said he has begun lobbying within the council to see what can be done.
“This is unacceptable,” he said. “Looking after the senior citizens of our district is important and I will be lobbying and working with the council to ensure the senior citizens of Tullyhouge get the bus shelter they so badly need.”
