Two arrested following armed robbery

POLICE in Dungannon have arrested two men following an armed robbery at a shop in the Donaghmore Road area on Sunday 2nd June.

At around 10pm one man entered the shop armed with a knife and threatened a shop worker, demanding cash.

A sum of money was handed over and the man made off on foot in the direction of Quarry Lane. There were no reports of any injuries although the staff member was left badly shaken.

The man was described as being around 20 years old, approx 6” tall and was wearing a dark blue jacket, a light blue hooded top, blue jeans and a pink balaclava.

Police have arrested two men, one aged 20 and one aged 30 and they are currently helping police with their enquiries.
