Tyrone A-level student who shouted ‘Up the RA’ sent to young offenders centre

An Aughnacloy A Level student who shouted ‘Up the ‘RA’, ‘s**t’, ‘black b****rds’ and ‘I’ll get you shot’ has been sent to a Young Offenders’ Centre for two months.

Kris Bernard McKillion (18) from Orchard Park, admitted criminal damage, assault on police and resisting police on August 25 last year.

A prosecuting lawyer said McKillion was seen to be verbally abusive and had to be restrained. The court heard he pushed a male constable in the chest and pushed a female officer on her upper body.

A defence solicitor said McKillion is a young man who has demonstrated his ability to study and capacity to achieve.

Imposing the sentence, District Judge John Meehan told him: “You have a long history of harassing, terrorising and depressing your family because of your self-indulgent lifestyle.”

He was also ordered to pay a levy of £25.
