Westlife star Filan toplay ‘hear city sing’

Westlife star Shane Filan will join Little Bear and The Clameens at the city’s first Music Legacy event on Friday (January 17) from 7.30pm at the Peace Garden.

Hosted by Edith Bowman ‘Hear the City Sing’ a free public event will combine outdoor music with the spectacular visual Global Rainbow art installation, representing the success of Derry-Londonderry City of Culture 2013 whilst offering a preview of what is in store for Music City 2014.

Mayor Martin Reilly said: “This announcement is just one of a number of significant announcements for the city as part of our legacy promise for our year as 2014 City of Music. ‘Hear the City Sing’ provides the perfect combination of local talent with that of an internationally recognised performer, combining music and visual art at an inspiring event which will reach out to a wide ranging audience within and outside the city.
