Ulster unionists pay their tribute as Sam Lutton passes

Samuel Lutton was a stalwart unionist who served the people of Lurgan and the wider of Craigavon conscientiously and well, Upper Bann Ulster Unionist MLAs Samuel Gardiner and Jo-Anne Dobson have said.

They were paying tribute after Mr Lutton, a former Mayor Of Craigavon oassed away on Friday (aged 92).

“Sammy Lutton worked tirelessly for the people of Lurgan electoral ward over a long period on Craigavon Borough Council and, when elevated to the Craigavon Mayorship for a term, he showed exemplary leadership and sound judgment,” said the MLAs.

“Sammy was a quiet unassuming man who gained the respect of councillors from all parties in Craigavon civic chamber. His passing is deeply regretted and we extended sympathy to his family.”
