Magherafelt woman Olive Moore is today celebrating her 100th birthday.
A native of Belturbet in County Cavan, she is having a party with more than 80 friends in Union Road Presbyterian Church hall.
A resident for the past five years in Milesian Nursing Home, her recommendation for long life is simply to be happy and content.
She never married and remained on the family farm for many years until moving to Magherafelt 21 years ago.
Miss Moore enjoyed making butter and baking throughout her life and also loves animals, especially terrier dogs.
She also likes to get out and about, shopping in Cookstown and Magherafelt.
On Friday the home held a party for her and the Vice-Chair of Magherafelt Council Councillor Jim Campbell presented her with flowers.
Also attending were Mid-Ulster MLAs Patsy McGlone and Sandra Overend.
