Mid Ulster election candidates have been stocking up on hearty dinners of sausages and chicken curry ahead of a long night at the count centre.
Sinn Fein’s Francie Molloy who said he was quietly confident of retaining his seat revealed he enjoyed Cookstown sausages, while the DUP’s Ian McCrea said he had dined out on chicken curry.
Mr McCrea said he was hopeful of maintaining his party’s share of the vote, but did not expect to win the seat once held by his father Rev. William McCrea.
