Volunteer appeal for radio station

Broadcasting 24 hours per day, seven days per week takes a huge amount of work and a large number of people.

Vivienne Bennett, one of Shine’s Directors, said: “The Shine FM team is made up of people from all sorts of backgrounds and I would like to thank all our existing dedicated volunteers. We are currently looking for new, enthusiastic volunteers willing to give of their time and energy to make Shine FM an even greater success!”

Vivienne adds, “If you would like to be part of Shine FM, there are lots of opportunities and just some simple requirements: to be flexible, teachable and able to work with others. We provide training in all aspects of the work and it has been shown that involvement can help to provide experience for those interested in pursuing a media-related career.”

You can help Shine FM in many ways, both on and off air: presenting a show, radio programming, technical support, IT support, promotions, journalism, advertising and marketing, admin, fundraising etc.
